Elevator modernization completed at De Harmonie in Leeuwarden

Commissioned by: TK Elevator

At Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie in Leeuwarden, Fortadio has modernized two elevator installations. A project where technology, teamwork, and dedication come together in the heart of an iconic place for art and culture.

Renewal with attention to detail

One of the elevators had previously had its hydraulic unit replaced. This time, the control system was also renewed, with a modern MPK411 from Kollmorgen Steuerungstechnik GmbH. The second elevator received both a new unit and a new control system. Both installations are now equipped with frequency-controlled hydraulic drives, which ensure quieter, more energy-efficient, and more stable operation.

In addition, the cylinder seals of the three-part telescopic cylinder were renewed due to internal and external leakage, including the check valve. Components such as the door drive, sensor strips, and emergency lighting were also inspected and renewed where necessary.

Reliable for the future

After completion of the work, both elevators were successfully inspected by the Lift Institute. This officially concludes the project, and the installations are ready for many years of reliable use, just as visitors and employees of De Harmonie can expect.

Teamwork in practice

Behind this modernization is a close-knit team of technicians who work with knowledge, precision, and passion on safe and reliable elevator installations. An earlier article about the team of David and Jorn already shows how experience and fresh energy reinforce each other within Fortadio. This project is another fine example of that: collaboration at its best, with a result to be proud of.
